Spider-Woman, AKA Gwen Stacy, is the drummer in the group, and the Mary Janes became famous because of a fight breaking out during one of their concerts in which Spider-Woman showed up to stop the action. The Mary Janes are an all-girl rock band that was started on Earth-65 by Em Jay Watson. These ferocious fighters all have amazingly brutal names, including Bernadeth, Stompa, Gilotina, Lashina, and Mad Harriet. The women are strong and fearless, and often bicker with one another to establish dominance.īig Barda was the former leader, but she defected to be with Mister Miracle so the rest of the Furies were sent to kill her.
